Hello,

I have a 3 year old DS pc with the Corsair 570x case. I've had to replace the rbg case fans a couple times but it looks like the stock case fans are not being produced anymore (Corsair CO-9050059-WW SP Series, SP120 RGB LED). Amazon has listed Corsair iCUE SP120 RGB Pro Performance 120mm Fan as a newer model. My question is would I have issues if I just buy the newer model and just use it to replace the faulty case fan I have without having to replace the controller that came with the case?

I really don't think so. First, there is nothing all that special or different about a replacement fan in the same size as the old one. I replaced a fan recently that was a bit thicker front to back than the old one, but it came with it's own longer screws, and it fit fine. Second, my theory is that your controller will send the same minute power changes for speed control to the new fan that it sent to the old one, with the same result.
