I'm buying a rig pretty soon. Shamefully, looks mean a lot to me lol. I want the lighting in this thing to be awesome. I'm wondering if there's any good multi colored led fans along with internal lighting out there that don't suck that I could ask DS to put in.
Idea is to be able to switch the lighting up when I want to. Is this a foolish dream or doable?

Case will most likely be hafx and I don't want to sacrafice to much airflow. Don't care much about noise.

you would have to ship the fans/lights to ds and honestly it would probably be easier installing them yourself. fans aren't hard to install and cathodes/leds/whatever you want to put in are easy too. honestly i've always wanted a rig where the lighting inside flickers with sound so i can blast music and the light can almost be a visualizer lol but just google around and look at mods and mod out your computer as much as you want. but i would reccomend doing it on your own even though ds would be happy to put something in if you shipped it to them or worked out some deal.

Installation etc isn't something I'm focused on at the moment. I'm just trying to get pointed in the right direction. Cause the few multicolored fans I found all have terrible reviews or are too small.

Your idea with leds flickering to music is cool btw. Im generally just looking to switch between solid colors, but ya.

Anyways anyone that can point me to good multi color led fans that are decent and still provide good airflow. Go go go.

well the case i'm getting (non ds) has led fans by nzxt but they aren't multicolor just blue i think and they aren't clear. i know enermax makes some pretty sick looking led fans that are multi color and stuff but don't know about them performance wise.

I was originally hoping to get 200mm multi color fans to replace the haf-x fans and keep the same airflow. Just wanted to be capable of changing between solid colors when ever I felt like it. Along with some kind of multiple color led strip.

To put it more simply. I want a lighting solution in my case that i can change between solid colors at will. Case would be the Haf-x. Suggestions on If/how can I make this possible.

Or should I just give up my dream and go one solid color? Lol.

I know of a 200mm led fans that have I think 5 or 6 colors, they are not multi, its a solid color per fan, and their airflow is not as good as the 200mm fans.

In short, as far a I know, no such fans, the only ones I thihk you gonna find are 120mm multi color fans.

That's what I'm looking for dst. Just fans i can change colors with not looking for any rainbow setup in my case lol. Sorry if me saying multi color was misleading. 200mm fans with 5-6 colors would be great. Where can I get them?

again the airflow is much lower then the regular oem led 200mm fans, and its one color per fan, not 5 or 6 colors per fan, if I explained that wrong I apologize.

if you are looking for blue or red led, I would go with the oem ones:

200mm red led fan

200mm blur led fan

if you want other colors then those, then the airflow is gonna be lower:

here you go

I have been on a search for the perfect BLUE LED Fan for months and you really have to do your homework and research them. I'm getting ready to switch out for the third time to increase the CFM of airflow and keep my GTX480 cooler than what it is running now. Make sure you don't sacrifice cooling and reliability for a light show. Don't get me wrong, I love the lights but make sure the fans are reliable and move allot of air (check the reviews on each fan). Try this website, they have a large selection of various fans.

they don't have any 200mm led fans, the oem haf fans have good enough airflow.

what are your temps on the 480?

Sorry about that I missed the 200mm part. Actually my 480 is running at a safe temp for the card (100F) on the more demanding games. According to the experts, this card can run at (105C or 194F) without doing irrepairable harm to it. It amazes me this card runs that hot and I can't figure out why they would design a card to run that hot. I was thinking about attaching a Zalman 3000 VGA cooler to it but I'm opting to change out some of my fans with higher CFM rating exhaust fans to create a negative pressure zone within the case. I hear this will create a vacuum drawing more cool air through the case.
