Would like some opinions and information on cases. My current DS build utilizes the cooler master Haf 932 incorporating liquid cooling. In selecting a new build I love the Aventum along with the Hailstorm 2 cases. My problem is dimensions. Height can be as tall as 26” width is not really an issue. Depth can go up to 23” although 20-22” would be optimal. I will most likely go liquid cooling stage 3 (CPU only). I do want a case that has good air flow with fan placement options. The cases I see in DS configurator that would work are Haf 942 X, really like this case just want a different look. Corsair Obsidion 550D, not really comfortable with the fan options. Black Ops Syndicate, like the case, concerns would be room to swap out HD’s and such. I like the Corsair line but have same problem with dimensions starting with the 700D, 800, and 900D. I know I can request DS builds with a case of my choosing. This is where you all come in. I mentioned the Corsair line, I also have looked at the Ascension cases from Mountain Mods. Again cooling is a concern, yes I would like quite but again not at the expense of cooling/airflow. Ideas, opinions?
Thanks all Chuck |

well, are you looking to completely blow minds of people that walk in your office? or just get the best cooling for your config?
If i was going to WOW people i would go with the 900d case, but if i wanted to completely nuke peoples minds i would go with the Aventum case, it is unique and screams CUSTOM. |

A couple of cases that might fit your space specs but still work for single 240mm rad for cpu only stage 3 are the 500r and 650d. A bit tight but for just stage 3 the rad in both cases can fit under the top with reservoir either behind or in place of the removable hdd cages. The 500r has a side panel 200mm fan to feed air to your cards and the 650d has an optional side mesh panel to mount a 200mm or multiple 120mm fans onto. Your cpu gets water cooling and the mobo/ video cards get very good airflow.

Solidus love both of those cases would go with the aventum if space would allow. I posted pics way back when of my set up. I just don't want to get the case and stick it where I can. bprat I agree the 650 would work, and I do like the case. I also am considering going with another cooler master Haf case. Was thinking a little more wow, not to be confused with bright lights. Not that I won't have lighting. Thinking though more along the lines of colored cables and tubing.I would consider a non traditional tower case. I will see if I can post a picture of the area I am talking about

To the left of the PC behind the doors sits a printer on a roll out. Also I can position the computer straight in however the back of the box is only a couple inches from the wall. I feel this allows for better venting. Also it seems to be more comfortable to use like this

would tha 942 Hafx case fit where ur 932 case is? seems you might be blocking the top fan exhaust.

Yes it would fit fine. I have the 932 sitting up on lifts raising it to a height of 25.5" (the 942 is 22" high I believe) and I still have 5" plus. Also there is a 5" circular cut out that feeds the usb hub in the first picture that allows warm air to vent. The cases also has 4 side mounted fans. But you are correct in that I would like the case to be 25 inches or under.

Sorry these pictures are old, space is the same but other things have changed, like I have black lifts under the for corners of the Haf 932 raising it up an additional 3 inches. The bottom of this case is vented in the center bottom.

I have my HAF-X in a setup that is very similar to yours, with little headroom, and my temps have always been great.

Tidgxor I may get another Haf, great case. What about the Ascension cases from MountainMods? |

I'm assuming that is a custom desk setup you have there. Very nice, I could go for a setup like that except it wouldn't fit in my office.
Looks like a lawyers desk.
