I have a question and am also in need of suggestions. I currently have the lynx ultimate edition and Am wondering if the lighting inside the case can be switched to another case? And I'm also looking to purchase a new case(Preferably White and can be cool looking) very soon and would like for all suggestions on which ones can house and would look cool housing the components I currently have. Please post links to cases thankyou

You can switch the RGB fans to any case they fit. The LED light strip may be a little too delicate to switch out, but you can try it. It's not terribly costly if you fail. They are also available online and there are 100 pages for "LED Strips" available at Newegg for example.

Kind of interesting really. I remember when I first got into computers in the 80s it was all white/grey/beige/cigarette-tar cases, then in the late 90s or so black took over and reigned supreme for quite some time. Now white cases seem to be making a comeback. Full circle and whatnot. I'll pass on the tar/nicotine stained look though. LOL

I don't have a problem with @Cretae's general suggestion as 'cool' is different for each person.

Nevertheless, to maybe help you narrow the search...

Lian Li, Fractal Design, Phanteks, and be quiet are the some of the most acclaimed and thus popular case brands (overall).

I strongly considered the Phanteks Eclipse P400A -- though the Eclipse P500A has had high remarks as well -- but ultimately went with the be quiet Pure Base 500DX.



I know it's not the most unique case, but the photos don't do the black and white contrast justice. As already mentioned, your tastes, budget, etc probably are different from mine.

Indeed. I think, people are willing to go back to white now because there's less plastic being used, namely an increase in aluminum front panels, thus less likelihood of discoloration.
