I'm not sure if this is in the right section but......I am going to add some xigmatek xlf series fans and uv lighting to my haf932, but I already have the blue neon cathodes in my case. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811989011&cm_re=cathode-_-11-989-011-_-Product this claims to be uv lighting even though it's blue, do you guys think it would work? or should I just get the regular purple uv lighting? And do you guys think the the orange/white lights and the blue cathodes would match? I haven't seen a computer yet with orange and blue xDD

I'm not sure, that could be uv blue, plain uv (purple) would be best IMO.

Orange and blue have been done a lot, even the Drunken Monkey has it. lol When they say UV blue, I imagine it will be more purple-ish.
poor pic, but lol

Personally I'm not big on what kind of lights, so I'm not sure what to recommend as far as brand.

Oh one more question, since you have the same type of fans how much louder would you say they are compared to just the stock haf 932 casefans? I don't want like a jet engine under my desk haha

huh, I tried Xigmatek XLF's once. Could be that i just got a bad model, or that it was the only one that actually faces out directly, but it was louder than every other fan in my setup. It gives off a semi-light hum from my experience. Meh, now that i think of it it's probably because every other fan in my setup is internal, lol. i just gave up on hunting for fans, and i'm using a Zalman undervolted to 7v (you know, the air they put out at 7v is actually pretty remarkable with a little hum)

My fans are the white led Xigmatek XLf fans, and very quiet, I can barely hear them.
most of your noise is gonna come from gpu's fan when under load. Edited by DST4ME - 08 Jan 2011 at 11:00pm |
