Changing from x-25m to Vertex 3

So I recently purchased a 240gb Vertex 3 and I am planning on replacing my intel x-25m 160gb with it. My intel ssd has the OS and some of my major applications and work so I was hoping to just clone the drive on to my Vertex 3.
 
I plan to make my Vertex 3 the main OS/Apps drive and my intel ssd another storage drive (probably for Steam games hehe).
 
Do you guys think just cloning the intel ssd on to the Vertex 3 will have any problems? I've heard clean installs of OS are the best for new SSDs. Will cloning from one ssd to another affect performance? Any special steps to take?

Cloning should be fine, use intel's or acronis 2011.

your intel is the more reliable drive.
