Looking to build a cheap pc for mainly warzone. Hoping I can stay under $2500 if possible. I would like to be able to play at 120fps or more on 1080p. I really have no clue what im doing here so not sure if this is feasible or not. Thanks for the help!

There are several folks on here that are very good at configuring systems to match the Gamer's needs and amount available to invest. They will be here soon with suggestions.
I just upgraded about a month ago and really happy with my new system. The only issue was that mine was on the dock ready to ship when the new faster Intel chips became available. The intel seems a better deal with regards to better performance and upgradability due to PCI-E 5 & DDR5 capability. I think the wizards will find something that will do what you need done for the price range you are in. When you want high Frame rate at 1440 or just to play 4K well it takes a powerful GPU. At 1080p at 120fps I don't think you will have any issues at that price point. I will watch & learn myself as they show up with good advice. Edited by Onkel_Ken - 26 Dec 2021 at 4:42pm |

Up first, in the truly budget category, the Lynx (Level 3). It does not consist of the latest and greatest tech (e.g., the CPU and motherboard are two generations old now) although, should suffice for your demands.
For example: COD WARZONE RTX 3060 12GB - 1080P | TJ Gaming (YouTube) (Slightly lesser CPU and GPU then the Lynx - Level 3 and is reaching 120 fps.) Next, an Intel 12th gen. rig with RTX 3060 Ti. Config #: 4234479 While equally sporting the RTX 3060 Ti and 16GB of DDR4 -- DDR5 is still in its infancy, including very expensive. Additionally, the majority of games show little to no gain -- this configuration does feature the latest (Alder Lake) Intel Core i5 and one of the fastest SSDs -- granted, that's not going to boost FPS but will significantly decrease loading times, including re-spawning in some games. In essence, the faster drive can make a game feel snappier overall. The following demonstrates 3060 Ti performance, including with DLSS enabled. RTX 3060 Ti | COD Warzone - 1080p, 1440p, 4K, DLSS - ULTRA settings | zWORMz Gaming (YouTube) The third suggestion, a 12th gen. Core i5 plus an RTX 3070 Config #: 4234641 A little surprisingly, the Ryzen 5 plus RTX 3070 is more expensive. This config does sacrifice some storage size. If you shift among only a few AAA titles, dropping to 500GB is fine, excluding other media (e.g., music, photos). If you want/need extra storage capacity, you could move to the 1TB Samsung 970 without any notable game loading performance loss. It is an excellent presentation of options. Clearly what you are looking for is quite possible. I'd advise the step up to a 3070 is pretty unnecessary. You pay $214 for a slight 7% overall performance bump when you are already beyond your 120 fps target.
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-3070-vs-Nvidia-RTX-3060-Ti/4083vs4090 I highly recommend the 3060 Ti, and spending your savings there on a better storage set-up. You could pair a 500GB 980 Pro with another M.2 NVMe drive, the 1TB 970 EVO PLUS, and have 1.5 GB of really fast storage going forward. That would look like this in an Intel build: https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=4234901 Don't forget the free mousepad and warranty upgrade when you submit a build. The free shipping is automatic.
