Clarification Needed

Hey all -- i made a post on the general discussion forum, and I was hoping to receive a slightly more official / direct answer! I definitely could have been more specific with my inquiry, so I'll do so here:

1. I just received a Bolt X. I was wondering if I can lay the machine on it's side - rather than have it standing up vertically? Would doing so have any adverse effects to the machine's health or longevity?

2. If the Bolt X can be kept horizontal .... is there a specific side I should have on the bottom? E.g. the glass side or the non glass side.
