Clueless....Please help!

My 12 year old son is asking for a pc for Christmas. It will primarily be used for gaming. I have no idea what I should be looking for. I would like to stay within $1500-1600. Graphics is a big thing for him and most definitely the colorful lighting. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
