every now and thn i get the pop up message askin me if i want to change from windows aero to basic windows 7, its sayin tht the comp is runnin slow wich is kinda hard to belive..idk if this is somethin even worth payin attention to figured id ask
.btw my setup is asus deluxe, i7 oc 4.2 (if i can remember) sli gtx 570's & 8 gig corsair mem, 1000 corsair psu
 
i also have to add this setup is a beast been runnin shogun 2 everything maxed at 2560x1440, card one is barely breakin 64* after bout 2 hours under full load, and card #2 is always a couple under tht like 62 -63.so glad i chose ds.  NinjaAwesomeNinja

The issue is that many programs and windows aren't made to work with 8a threads or even 4 sometimes and use up one thread and think the cpu is at 100% while just that thread is. Im not saying windows isn't made to work with 88a threads but its not exactly fine tuned with it.

I've had the same win7 message a couple of times and just x'd it out.  Didn't feel the battle was worth it.

Just adding in another confirmation, don't worry about it (unless it really bothers you Big%20Smile), I've had the same thing happen to me, and never actually noticed any performance loss. When I read about it, the information I found corresponded to what maxyme has said, so in other words, keep on rocking. Awesome

rock on i shall Strong haha, thnx guys for the quick response, guess next time i see it ill x it out.
 
another thing i was wandering, this has to do with the asus deluxe mb, is the epu and tpu features of the board, ive been reading up on them both. just curious if the switches on the board are disabled for a reason since cpu is already OC. kinda interested in epu tho, since in the manaul it says could help prolong the life of the board, and help power consumption. again idk if this is worth lookin into but kinda interesting, thnx in advance to who ever wants to chime in  IdeaAwesome
