Hey guys i've been thinking about color schemes lately for my new build and was wondering what you guys think about color schemes in the haf x case. What i mean by color schemes is like led fan colors and interior cathode colors. Right now i'm thinking about getting green led fans a red cathode inside and of course the red led fan that comes in front of the haf x case. What do you guys think? and what do you think would be a awesome color combination.
Also as a little side question if i have DS upgrade the fans to led on the haf x case they keep the front red led fan right? |

id avoid the led fans as they are not quiet AND the cooling on the haf x is already good, best to leave it be, if you want lights and colors, pick up multiple cathode light sets

Yep, cathodes for lights. LED fans that are decent are tough to find. CM's R4-L2R fans may temp you, but they're really just trash. 19dba, more like 25. 90 CFM my butt, that's a friggen joke. I'd estimate 59.
Really, I'd advise at most for fans to just look for clear bladed ones to go along with the cathodes. Edited by ablahblah - 26 Sep 2010 at 10:02pm |

What are some cool cathode combinations? Also where are some cool places to put cathodes? I've seen a mod where they were under the case and it was on wheels so it shinned on the floor which looked kinda cool.

haha ur such a hypocrite you have a blue led fan.
I'm beginning to think its best to just do it on my own sometime after i get my rig seeing that its so easy to do. |

hmm. lemme see.
well for flair, you can try on some of these neato lighting rod CCFLs. as for placement, meh, it's really not easy to get too creative with computer cases, since you need a long, clear area to mount a cathode effectively. |

its the same fans the haf 932 comes with, but they switch the same custom made fans for CM clear blue LED ones. the DS configurator has the option for switching in 120mm zalman fans, which are louder
and building your own computer is about a lot more than just putting the pieces together, lol.

Nah, I think for non-standard size fans (180mm, 200mm, etc.) DS doesn't do anything, you have to special request those to have the LED color changed out.
