I'm am considering the system below and would like some feedback.  This is my first time buying a custom system.  I am new to gaming but have always had a week spot for electronics, computers, audio/video.  Let me know your thoughts.  Any item needed upgraded or is something excessive?

Thank you!

i would look at the differences from vista ultimate vs home 64(there really isnt alot of different things)  I would also say since your spending this amount of money it may be beneficial to get a velicraptor

You have a hugh PSU..Planning to SLI later?

Its a nice solid build.......The main advantage of Vista Ultimate is that you can burn a backup to disk not just a drive..And extra games.....

Dead if you dont plan on going SLI in the near future and cant spend any more money i would sooner get rid of the overkill PSU and pick up the better drive for now.  You can always gets the PSU when you go SLI if you dont mind swapping it out

Yea gotta know the max rez of your monitor first before people can say really if the GPU you need is the one you should get.

Plus keep in mind your 1200W power supply is enough for 3 GTX 280s. So you better plan on adding a card later or two later otherwise you overspent in that field of play =P

Couple other questions:

1.  Do the diferent chasis' allow for different configurations?  Outside of the number of bays and the air flow, why would I pick HAF932 versus the 950si?

2.  I need to upgrade my monitor.  I'm considering the Gateway XHD3000 Monitor (30-inch); max resolution is 2560 x 1600.  It'll be a couple months after I get this PC though.  Is this setup a good fits for this monitor/resolution?  Any other suggestions for monitors?  More bang for buck?

Thanks!

Also, is the price differential jumping to one of the extreme processors worth the gain?  Would I notice the difference?  If I want to hang on to this PC for at least 4 to 5 years, is it worth jumping up?   Any new processor coming out soon that I should wait on?

yes there is a new processor comeing out and I think the prices will drop.

HAF can hold totall of 11 drives, and for the money its a great case .

as for waiting for the new one or jumping higher, thats a personal decision, all I can tell you is that I'm waiting
