Comp won't start

I shut off my old comp to test a new monitor and now it won't start back up. All it does is it lights up for 1-2 seconds then shuts off. I've tried to hook up the old one and tried to hold the button for 2 minutes. I'm now lost as what to do. Do i need to buy install a new power supply or ? Any help will be appreciated.

so it just gets power real quick, lights up for a second or 2 and then it goes out, correct? if yes I would think the psu has gone bad, you can buy a psu tester and test your psu or you can just go and change psu, if that doesn't do the trick then you need to change mobo.

let it sit for like 30 minutes unplugged and see if does anything different then. If you are still under hardware warranty DS will take care of you, just give them a call.
