How on earth is that a large waste of money? That is a great build.
As far as the CPU being a bottle neck? If you play fall out 3, you could be CPU limited, but still will be able to play very smoothly, other than that game, I don't see the CPU bottlenecking, or if it does, it will be by very little.

I agree it is a waist of money. However you should have no complaints as far as performance goes.

Instead of saying it is a waste, why not prove it? Because that system looks great to me.

Exactly. You could have done some tweaking to save money. However if you are fine with the money you spent then that build will be a beast!

he got what he wanted. stop telling him what to do with his money, it's his. until you give him the money to buy it, leave it be. it's rude (in my opinion) to tell someone that they wasted their money.
Looks like a beast, hope you love it :) |

We tell him in hopes that others that read it won't do the same.
We have a right to voice our opinion and also I told him to enjoy it, all we mean is that he could have spent less and got the same performance. Edited by DST4ME - 31 May 2009 at 9:44pm |

lol, I still have not seen what is "wasteful" ? The velociraptors are great, the backup hard drive is enough storage for a while, It does not take long to fill up one 1T HD though. the GPU's are great....

Well then let me say I am sorry to Joshua if I was being rude.
I was simply implying that 'I' would not have gone with that rig myself. I did not mean to imply it is a bad rig. Trust me it will be a beast!
It was not very fair of me to make those comments simply because I am the type of person who trys to save as much cash as I can in a situation.

My point exactly, I would not have picked most stuff either, since there is a better way of doing it. but he got what he wanted and that is all that matters.

Back to the point, even if it had any bottle neck problems it wouldn't matter because you are going to have extreme performance with that.
