Welcome to the forums!
Your configuration looks really good, you'll have no problems playing any of those games. Even though the 680M is a very powerful card, it will still require adjusting some settings to get 60+ fps in games like Crysis 3. Here is a link that shows the performance of this card and framerates in many games. If you wanted to max out games like Crysis 3 it would require a dual gpu setup, like a x17E with crossfire 7970Ms. The x17 with a single 680m is much less bulky, and will still handle every game out there, so I'd still recommend it over the x17E. If you have any other questions about a DS x17 I'd be happy to answer them.

No, in a hybrid drive the SSD portion only acts as a cache for the mechanical drive. In general we don't recommend hybrid drives because they don't offer SSD performance but are much more expensive than a traditional mechanical drive.
A solid state drive will be much faster, so I'd recommend just keeping the SSD and the HDD that you have now. |
