You don't need that much in a system. So without knowing what you will be doing with the system. I adjusted your system specs for you a bit. I am going off a want basis, not a need basis.
If we are talking in regards to what you would actually need in a system, we could go with a much lower cost, less extremeness, and still get you great performance based upon what you will be doing with the system. So, a system just because you want a beefy bad boy that makes grandmas and newborns cry... Well, I see you've selected just about every bell and whistle you could think of just to spend your budget. Take a look at some of the config threads from recent days and you'll get an idea of what you should be looking for.
In the meantime, the answer to your question of whether you can buy now and still be okay in 7-8 years is: no way. Computer technology moves so fast, that your computer will be sporting tech a couple of generations old in 3 years. It'll still be getting the job done, but you're going to want the latest thing to make it faster/better/stronger. In 7, it would be an antique.
The good news is, at Digital Storm, you can upgrade a very substantial base system to your heart's content over and over for free labor if you buy the parts here. The idea is to get only what makes sense to have now, that gives you the best performance now. You have selected a number of things that merely cost more.
To help you, we need to know what your primary use of the machine is going to be. We also need to know what monitor resolution you are going to be satisfied with into the future.
That is probably the most important decision you need to make first. The monitor you have chosen from DS is the lower tier technology that might not be your best bet long term. Of much better quality is a tech called "in plane switching" (IPS) which allows much better viewing angles, much better color quality, and much better overall performance. 2 examples that are well thought of around here are the Dell U2410, and the HP ZR24w. They are both 24" diagonal HD panels with 1920X1200 resolutions. If you want a recommendation, I start here. That is a good sized monitor without being huge/overwhelming. 1920X1200 is a very practical resolution for all kinds of computing. The Dell is more expensive, the HP is an excellent buy.
I think we can get you where you NEED to be for under $4500, maybe monitor included, but you won't find the best monitor here. I'll be around, you can ask me anything you want.
