Wow I was just about to post a thread about this too.  My Ipod is dying so I need some advice or suggestions for a new mp3 player.  I need something with a fairly large capacity (at least 30Gb) and a removable battery would be really handy.

Any ideas?

Don't think any mp3 players these days uses batteries anymore =\

You could get another Ipod or a Zune or a Creative Zen.

I have the new Ipod Nano 8GB =)

Oh yeah when I said removable I meant removable rechargable batteries (hence why no Ipod).  My work tends to take me into areas without electricity for extended periods of time so it's handy to be able to swap a new rechargable in.  I usually take at least 2 spares with my digital camera.

As usual, skyR has got the right idea. I also need a roomier MP3 player. My 20 Gig iRiver's are topped out. I own a few iRivers and like the devices a lot, but the newer ones seem to have really Censored batteries. My children are horrified, but I'm thinking about a Zune II. I don't care about the dopy wireless file sharing and other voodoo. I just want a big honking hard disk. I considered an 80 Gig iPod Classic, but I hear the new ones are slower than the old ones, and I just don't like the iPod/iTunes combo. I want to be able to just drag and drop Censored from a computer hard drive to the player's disk.

I've got to admit I'd probably go for an iTouch if it had a hard drive and wasn't so crippled. For an iPhone without the phone and with a 60 Gig HD, I would probably "get over" the iTunes thing.

By the way skyR, I just noticed that you're a Moderator Star. Did this happen recenly, or have I not been paying attention?
