This is sort of a follow-up question for anyone who saw my last post.

So, I got the Vanquish II L4, and I bought a Creative Sound Blaster Z to put in it. I didn't notice until now, but because of the micro-ATX motherboard, it looks like -- from the pictures -- that the only place to install the Creative Sound Blaster Z will be directly underneath the GTX770. Is... that going to overheat my GPU?

Thanks.

Never mind. I can just get a PCIe X1 riser extension and mount the card lower down. *facepalm*

lol

Shouldn't affect the 770 at all as the audio card won't generate that much heat. if you get an ACX dual fan 770, that will kick a bunch of heat down onto your audio card - then you'd want to move it out of the way a little...

I already ordered a PCIe X1 riser cable so I wouldn't take any chances. It's 6", so I'll just put my soundcard 2 slots lower than the GTX770 and call it a day. It doesn't look like the Creative Sound Blaster Z is designed to take much heat.

Riser card is a great idea.

For a reference single fan 770 it wouldn't be needed but for ACX dual fan cards, like fstcvc said, it'll be better for both cards.

Good luck. Big%20Smile
