I was wondering on the liquid cooling system computers i have a very cold room in the winter and was wondering if the liquid would freeze in side of the computer please help

Krayzie, define "very cold" in the winter?

As I understand the coolant involved here is oil based. Assuming its what I think it is, the lowest useful temperature is 50F even though the actual FREEZING point is -22F. Realize that under 50F you start seeing a decelerative effect in the oil (essentially a congealing).

The upside over water is that it doesn't evaporate nearly as fast, stays pretty viscous in most conditions, is non-conductive yet still carries heat fairly well.

The downside is that unlike water which goes from water->solid pretty directly, oil has different effects at low temperatures, it doesn't just immediately freeze outright.

And if your ambient temperatures are really that low on an annualized basis... do you really need liquid cooling?

The coolant isn't oil based although it is slightly "thicker" than water.

Unless your room is below 0*C, you will be fine, and even then it is very doubtful the water would freeze as we tested a phase change unit on a water system and it took to nearly -15*C before the pump froze over.
