I have recently ordered my PC from DS with an SSD as drive 1, and a regular 1TB HD as drive 2. I'm assuming DS will automatically load the OS onto the SSD since it is the first drive.
The OS and maybe a game that I frequently play are the only things I want on the SSD; all my other data I want on the data HD. But since the SSD is in drive 1, won't everything automatically save to the SSD? I've never used Windows 7 before so I'm not sure if there's some way to change the default location of where things save. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. It will save there by default yet, however, anymore 99% of programs will let you choose your installation location easily. This is also the same for downloads, you can have your browser install everything to the HDD. Your music, etc. can also all be on the HDD. There's no "master" method of setting the default install location to the non-Windows disk (at least not a simple one, to my knowledge), so it varies from program to program. But generally speaking its very easy.
