Topic: Concerns with HAF 932 Case.Posted: 05 May 2009 at 9:57pm |

This is a nice case, no doubt about it. Recently however, I found out that the HAF 932 has no dust filters. Now, my computer is almost finished being built, so I certainly can't change my case. I can handle cleaning out my rig once a month, but if its going to be a once a week thing, I don't think I can handle that. How bad is the dust problem in these cases? My room also has a pretty big problem with dust, so this concerns me. I don't want dust clogging up my system and causing heat problems and other negative things.

Well, I just ordered one also. Don't know the answer. How bout an air purifier for the room?
Anyone know how many USB ports are on the HAF? Not to hijack your thread, sorry.

Normally it is not much of a concern, especially if you keep your computer on your desk. You can make your own makeshift dust filters a number of ways. You can look up ways yourself on google! :]
Keep in mind dust filters severely reduce airflow, which is why they were not incorporated on the HAF. |

actually the dust has nothing to do with the case, it has to do with your room, if you got a dusty room, for example I have pets so I have a lot of it, there is no case that is not going to get dusty left and right.
cleaning once a week is so that it takes a few seconds of blowing air in there to clean it, once a month will take much longer and not as good. the whole concept of once a week is so that there is barely anything to clean so it takes seconds and things stay much cleaner, the longer you wait the harder it is to get everything out. any case with a fan, and if you want airflow in your case then it better have fans, will collect dust. |

So how easy is it to open the case & clean it out without unplugging a lot of stuff?

only thing you unplug is the PC, then you take the side door off and just plug the cable that runs to the side fan and thats it. it should take you 30 seconds to clear the power from the system and then another 30 to take the door off and unplug the fan's cable.
if you do it once a week there would be barely anything to clean so a couple of quick blow of air and you are good to go, and that is the whole point of doing it once a week, so the dust/dirt/hair don't have time to buildup and can be easily and quickly cleaned.
