for your needs you are already over the sweet spot in cost, get a single 480 and a 750w psu or get a 1200w and 2 480s, forget adding anything later, adding a second outdated overpriced card a year from now means you dont even get to enjoy being ahead of the curve for a year and then you end up in the same place with 100 extra bucks
$2055 http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsaved.asp?id=430451%20
first upgrade i would add if you want it is a sound card for fuller thicker punchier audio
second might be a bigger SSD if you edit a LOT lot
10k rpm hard drives were always a joke, an SSD puts them to complete shame and oblivion

the 1tb 32/64mb cache hdds perform at 90/95% of the wd veloci's for a fraction of the price so if you need a good hdd they would be your best bets. also multi veloci's in raid 0 can't touch a single decent ssd
in terms of ender's build he gave you a great single gpu solution, but i would def change the 40gb intel ssd to 80 or even 160. keep in mind the ssd is for os.games and apps only, the rest of your stuff goes on the 1tb like music, movies, work, and other data. just with the games you chose you would fill the 40gb ssd, so a larger one is recommended. the unique thing out intel ssd is that you can fill them to 98% with out having noticeable loss in performance if you areinclined to getting a second gpu, you need to upgrade the psu to the 1200 watt and another gpu and tha would put you over budget unless you scrap the ssd. if your resolution is over 1920 x 1200 then you will need a second, if it is under or the same as then your fine with a single gpu solution. single gpu solution is always better even though in some cases it is not as powerful as running 2 smaller ones (2x 470 vs 1x 480 ex) but with sli some games and apps don't support it as well as you get bugs from time to time. |
