I am looking at building a strong gaming rig as just about everyone else. My budget is around $1600-$1900. I currently run two monitors (LG M2780D & Dell 2007FP) and play fantasy MMO's primarily. I will be using my current mouse and a Steelseries Merc Stealth keyboard. Any suggestions to changes on the following build would be welcome, it currently is at the top of my budget.

I only game on the 27" I use the other for information gathering for the games or searching the internet etc while waiting. It had been suggested to me by more then one party that to help with any video lag issues to run two gpu's with two monitors of this size. Any further advice would be great.
I actually placed an order yesterday though I know there is time to make adjustments (CJ2473347).

that 27" has a 1920 x 1080 res right?
if so then you don't need sli 560, for some games you might need it. I think sli 560 with that psu is pushing it a bit, specially if you want to oc, but then again, I'm not sure how much power the SB is drawing. |

So, it would be more advantageous to drop to one higher end gpu instead of running SLI? Possibly going to the EVGA 570 superclocked option? Should I look at changing the cpu to the i7 2600k along with going to a single gpu? Edited by Dengarou812 - 07 Apr 2011 at 12:46pm |

For 1900 x 1200 IMHO the best option is to go with a mobo and psu that can do sli, however go with one gpu, this way if you find you need more power in the next 2 years, you can go sli, otherwise after 2 year I would just upgrade to the a newer more powerful gpu.
if you don't want sli ability, then go with 750w corsair psu, p9p67 mobo and a single stock 570, never get oced cards. |

Thanks for the advice, I made some changes to my order based on this and also talking with other people. I am sure it will be a great pc for the money and have room to grow when needed!
