Budget- 3500-4000 keyboard and monitor included would b nice, w/ res at 1900x1200, mouse doesn't need to b included cuz im a lefty and i doubt DS has one for me, but any suggestions on a good gamin mouse for lefty's would be great! Expectations- run games at high settings w/ ease at 1900x1200- with maybe the possibility down the road to upgrade to higher res. Usage- Strickly gaming - mostly RPG's MMO's w some shooters - mainly i play, WoW, CoD, crysis, Oblivion, that sort of thing. Special Needs- i do live in FL. atm with the possibility of moving back up north to Maine. one extreme to the next, in FL it can get pretty humid and hot, but i do have ac, and in Maine well its just plain cold. if that makes any difference for hardware idk. im pretty clueless when it comes to config but this is what i was looking at: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Black OPS Assassin Edition |

2 way to do this:
1. get sli now 2. get single card now, use the pc and see if you need to drop in the second gpu, and if you see you want/need it, then drop in the second card. For mmo's you don't need sli, for fps you do, crysis for example to cover minimum fps you will need sli. Personally I like option 2, cause I can save money, and adding a gpu is very easy for somebody who has never done it before. so here we go, build for option 1: Here you go Ticket# 481983 --- $3049 (To see this build click here) Copy of Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 5-15 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty now this build can do sli anytime you are ready. also for gaming I'm not sure if you will need 8GB of ram, so you can drop the ram to 4GB in my builds to save more money, ram is something else that is very easily added. so that is the pc, the monitor you want is Dell UltraSharp U2311H 23 or Dell UltraSharp U2410 the 23" is a newer 2011 model, the 24" is the 2010 model, both are great monitors, they have IPS panels, IPS panels have better picture quality. keyboard I'm no expert in. Well the HDD setup is like this:
HDD1 = fast small drive: os/apps/games HDD2 = regular large drive: media/personal/work file storage now if you don't have any media/personal files that are gonna takeup room on HDD1, the just go with one drive. SSD does help with gaming and other things, but its something you can add later, its important to keep your power balanced. |

im curious if the i7 2600k series will bottle neck say sli 580's? and will sli 580's give me adequate fps in say crysis. Will they allow me to play at higher res than 1900x1200 if i choose to?, doesnt have to be crysis.
i was going for the i7 900 series but if its over kill and i can save my money than thats what ill do another thing is i haven't really decided if im going to do sli 570's or 580's because i want power to achieve higher res in the future but tyvm for ur time helping me w/ this matter well appreciated im hoping to make my order in like a week or so keeping my fingers crossed. |

The 2600K has more potential power than the i7 900 4 core CPU's. most i7, 9xx series quads max out around 4.2-4-5 Ghz for 24/7 overclocks, while the 2600K will do 4.7Ghz-5.2Ghz and a side not, at the same speed, the 2600K is apx 15% faster, depending on the coding of the app. So not only will it overclock higher, it is faster clock for clock.

for gaming and power use the 2600k is what you want it does better then the i7 9xx.
the only thing six core is gonna give you is more multi taksing, otherwise app for app the 2600k does better, its easier to oc yourself and runs cooler. That is why I showed you the SB builds, its not that the i7 9xx is overkill, its that its not as powerful as the 2600k. sli 580 = waste of money and overkill, sli 570 will let you practically do whatever you want at 1900 x 1200, and sometime lot of overkill, yes you can play crysis you don't need sli 580, 570 will give you what you want. I don't know about you but I don't see $400 worth of extra gpu power here: if you plan on gaming at higher res, then you gonna want tri sli, if that is the case then we need to change mobo and psu, but only if you want to play at highest settings and bells and whistles at the higher res. drop the killer 2100, the rest is good, if you need more ram you can add it. ati 6970 is good for 2560 x 1600 or higher if one wants to put aa on high at that res, that will need more vram.
