Its brand name so I know what I'm getting, and it has its own 5 year warranty, the other psu has a reser sticker on it (technps) and a 2 year warranty, I dont' really know who makes that psu.

470 is a previous generation card. On your budget grab a 6950.

ok. at this point i have no idea which gpu to get. from what ive read the 560 ti has lots of problems but ive also heard that the 6950 has issues with Starcraft II which is the game I primarily play. Any advice? I am lost. haha

For your res you want a 570, but could get away with a 560.
we have seen no issues with the 560 here so far. |

Yup my single configs should handle any single gpu, now or the future.
cooling is not an issue either no matter what gpu you go with. My configs are made so that you can upgrade stuff easily, power, heat, etc should be no issue in a single card situation, no matter what single card you go with. Your only limitation with that pc is dual sli, you can add whatever else you like and not worry about power or heat, hdds, ssds, pci cards, ram and etc. This is one of many reason why we love DS over HP or Dell or those kind of builders. ok. so this is becoming increasingly frustrating. instead of spending the extra money to get the 570 i decided to with the 6950. this is not the problem. the problem is that ive now been informed that the case i want is also not available with no eta just as the 560 ti is available with no eta. this seems ridiculous to me. my question is what cases that i can choose from will have equivalent air flow and cooling as the haf 922 but arent a huge increase in price?

I completely agree. We're sorry to have you experience this. There have been numerous market wide shortages for components ever since the unfortunate earthquake in Japan. We may have the 922 Blue Advanced Edition in stock. It's normally +$25 from what you have selected, but, if you are interested, send me an email: [email protected] and I'll see what I can do to waive the difference.

The only thing I will point out is that the haf 922 blue does not allow us to add the side fan for better air flow and 3 x 200mm fans.
My advise is wait and get what you want, I had to wait months for certain things to comeout, but at the end I got what I wanted and I had to wait many many months. I had to wait 4 months just for the mobo to come out, then another month for the water block for the mobo, dont' even get me started about waiting on 4 x 295 single pcb versions. at the end, DS wants to sell us what we want, but if their contacts at CM or corsair can't fill their orders fast enough, there is nothing they can do. if you can find the case and gpu, buy it and send it to DS, they will us that. |

Ask DS specifically for this fan to be added to the side, so you endup with 3 x 200mm fans:
haf 200mm non led fan that will cost $20 installed. sorry I forgot to mention I guess. Edited by DST4ME - 18 May 2011 at 2:04am |
