Hi all,

I was wondering if people could give me their opinions on this configuration.  I'm trying to get the most bang for the buck.  Also, does anyone have the 750i/SilverstoneTJ04 case?  If so, would you recommend it?  How is the airflow and space?

Thanks much!

that is too tight boss, honestly if you save a bit more and get to 2000 I can show you system that will last for years and be upgradable, instead of something that is old news already.

to correct your current system it would come close to 2000 anyways.

tell me what you think?

What would you correct on my current system?  I don't need an i7. I think it would be overkill.  Is the video card too weak?

honestly your whole system is weak, CPU, GPU, PSU, you can't upgrade your GPU now or in the future with that PSU. you can't stick a q9300 in the 680i, your PC is not oced so you are stock at 2.5 instead of 3.0GHz or higher which makes a huge difference. the case is too small and will stop future GPU upgrades (thats if you changed your PSU)

so by the time we fix all of that you are like a 100 or 200 away from a new system that can eat this one and a system that can be upgraded for years to come, so you don buy a new PC next year or two but can upgrade and handg with the PCs that will be out in a year or two.

One thing to know about me is that I don't do overkill, so if I recommend something, the one thing you can bet on is that its not gonna be overkill, what I recommend is the most for your money.

now as you go, down the line, add another 3GB of ram to it, upgrade to a veloci raptor, and upgrade your gpu to a 260+ or 285 gtx, which ever's price is right for you.

this system can take the next round of cpus that are not out yet, which means in a couple of years you can easily upgrade to the next round of i7 that come out this year for a great price.

you got a 1000w psu, this can run 3 x 280 gtx so as far as gpu upgrades go, the sky is the limit.

you got a core i7 920 which oced will beat a qx9770 is most anything and since it is oced you will have a pc that has a speed of around 3.5 to 3.8GHz which is a huge difference from 2.5 or 2.66GHz and all of that for $50.

with the corrent promotion you will get another $100 off the price that is listed above, makeing the final price $1895.

this system can be updated for many years to come.
