here you go $3884
Chassis: Cooler Master Cosmos S Edition Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Interior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Power Supply: 1000W Corsair HX (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible) Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz (1333MHz FSB) (12MB Cache) Motherboard: nVidia 790i Ultra Core 2 Quad (nForce 790i Ultra SLI) (DDR3 Only) System Memory: 4GB DDR3 Corsair at 1333MHz Card Reader: - No Thanks Hard Drive 1: 300GB Western Digital VelociRaptor (10K RPM) (16MB Cache) (Extreme Speed) Hard Drive 2: 500GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA) Raid Option: - No Thanks Hard Drive 3: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x) (LightScribe Edition) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Wireless Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 1GB (Includes PhysX Technology) TV Tuner: - No Thanks Sound Card: Razer Barracuda AC-1 (Recommended) Extreme Cooling: Liquid Chilled FrostBite CPU Only Internal Lighting: Blizzard Internal Lighting (Blue Edition) (Cold Cathode Tubes) Modifications: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Yes, Overclock the processor as much as possible with complete stability Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost Memory: Yes, Overclock memory timings (Includes Memory Fan Kit Installed) Tweak Windows: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) (For Enthusiasts) Restore Kit: Digital Storm Specialized Recovery System (DVD Image Based) Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Benchmarking: - No Thanks Install/Test Game: - No Thanks LCD Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Warranty: 3 Year Platinum Care Extended Parts & Labor Warranty you can always go sli or dual with this system later if you like, your psu is there for that, you can pretty much add what ever you like later to this system. one thing I could not change is to get you the same speed ram but in ocz brand, corsair has been failing lately so make sure when you order you ask them for the ocz ram, I think it should save you a few bucks also now a little higher but more powerfull: drop the second HDD and take away the sound card. down grade the first HDD to a digital raptor instead of the current velociraptor. now upgrage teh processor to qx9650, price becomes $4193,a little over your budget but you get a qx9650 you can always add a sound card later, add a second HDD later and upgrade to a velociraptor later. think about it , I would go with the qx9650 and upgrade/add other things later Edited by DST4ME - 12 Sep 2008 at 6:08am |

The 9950 with that mobo can get an OC of 3.2GHz so it could be competetive considering the price difference. Personally, if you are wanting AMD, I would wait for the upcoming 45nm cpus. They are probably going to have stock speeds of 3.0 to 3.2GHz. Put them on a 790GX or 790FX board and they'll hit 4.0GHz OC. I'm working on the mom to get something like that, but I may wind up having to wait for the AM3 socket stuff. The mom is Scottish and won't let go of my purse strings |

not hurting my feelings but my question is
1. your ram speed does not match your fsb. 2. why vista ultimate and not premium? on those 2 you are wasting your money. if you really want to go with the gtx 280 then go for it, its a great card if you don't mind the extra bucks. if you change correct your ram and go with vista premium you will never notice the difference. |

Yes, Razer uses a version of C-media drivers with their own interface software that can do quite a bit of useful things IMO.

Normally you should not need to add liquid, but just make it a point once a month to check, if you forget and teh levels do get low, then system will warmup and your pc will shutdown to protect itself, then you will know to check, but the easiest way is to just check it once a month

Bad idea on changin the liquid cooling, its not goona do nothing bad, and its under warranty, this will hurt your oc very much.
also go with the q9650 now and put back the liquid cooling, there is no danger. Edited by DST4ME - 30 Sep 2008 at 4:56am |
