Hi All,

I've been lurking on this site for about a week now.

Budget is around $2500.
I want to be able to play the latest games (Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, Cyrsis 3) at max settings on 2560x1600, good frame rates.

I'm intrigued with the Bolt Level 4 with the Titan.

From reading the config forum, it seems the Dreadnought with the Noctua NH-D14 is good for cooling.

Should I get a 680 4GB instead? That would put the Dreadnought in my price range, but for the same price, I could get the Bolt with a Titan, but I'm concerned with heat and PS issues with the Bolt.

Hi swifty013....    You could also take your Dreadnought build and save $250 by changing the Titan for sli, 2x gtx 670.     Better performance for less money.    The rest looks real nice, except no HDD?    That SSD will fill real fast.

Have you looked the the ODE lvl 4?     Cheaper still with sli gtx 670 and a HDD.

All testing by DS and independants have shown the Bolt can handle the Titan with room to spare.   But, the psu has a 1 year warranty so I would get the 5 year service/ 3 year parts upgrade. Bolt is a nice rig.   

I actually recommend the warranty upgrade for any system.. I don't usually do extended warranties but for computers I do.   

The Titan is a real nice card but expensive.   Sli 670 does better for alot less. Plus, if the Titan dies and warranty doesn't cover it from spills, power spike, etc you're out $1000 and no second card to fall back on.   If your games support sli then for me its a more economical and flexible way to go.

Thanks for the help bprat22. Why the 2GB 670 card instead of the 4GB card? I've read so many different opinions on 2GB cards versus 4GB cards. Also, I don't need HDD, 240GB SSD is more than enough for me.

Other than Skyrim, I haven't seen any use for 4gb vram unless tri monitor or those into heavy video editing, 3d modeling, etc.    But, the 4gb version of thr 670 is pretty cheap over the 2gb version, so if you can in the budget then go for it.   I probably would.
