I have decided that DS is the way to go with my new computer and have put together the following Config:

Ticket Number: 295925

I am upgrading from a 10 yr old system that I bought as a pre-built so this is a pretty big upgrade for me.  I do mostly casual gaming at a max resolution of 1900x1200.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Someone more experienced will be along shortly...to help you.

Welcome aboard! Ermm

To get you rolling...some of the primary/basic questions are:
1. What is the primary purpose/use of your computer
2. What is the secondary purpose/use of your computer
3. What resolution is the monitor you'll be using
4. What is your budget.

You've pretty much answered the majority of initial questions...and with the Ticket # we have an idea of what you're looking at....  Still, a general figure (even lower/upper limits) is most helpful  Hug

thats a very good config especially if u have nevr done it b4 i suspect u know a little about configs. only thing id have to say off the bat is that u may want to upgrade your motherboard to at least the standard EVGA board from what i understand the LE only lets u sli in a x8 PCI and the standard board will SLI in a x16. but other than that its very good. Also keep in mind u wont need the fan upgrade. but if u must get the fans u might as well get LED fans to go with your color scheme for an extra what 12$. OTherwise i think you're good to go unless u have some other prefrence questions

My budget is in the $2500 to $3000 range.  I would like to keep this close to $2500 after the fabulous rebates that are in place now.  And with that said, I would like to order soon.

I edited the ticket in the original post with the upgraded Mobo and no fans.  It gets me to basically the same price.  Both of those selections were purely cosmetic in reality.  The LE board has much better looks and large case fans are unappealing to me.

I guess I was also thinking that the cooling from multiple fans vs. one big one on the side panel would be a bit more effective.

Regardless, thank your for the input.

the ticket you have listed does not have the LE, which is good cause you want to go with the regular x58 version.

your ticket looks great, I was gonna go build you one but then I saw you have picked everything I would, you are good to go now just call Sarah at 1-866-817-8676 Extension: 115 and she will set you up

If you spend a little more money and hit 3k you can get the $300 discount and still be in your price range.

I just placed the order.  I did it online because I'm shopping for my PC at work instead of working and didn't want to make it too obvious on the phone.  Thanks for the advice and help everyone.

Now the waiting begins...
