Questions:

Is this PSU good enough?--only probable upgrade would be to a 640mb GTS, instead of the 320MB.
What kind of OC could I see using the LT board?
Could this system play smoothly, up-coming games-- like UTIII, CoD4, Gears of War, @ 1280x1024?

Thanks, still trudging along with my 5-yr old Alienware Area-51.

The PSU is on the low end for a pair of 8800 GTS, so you may consider the 620W or 750W if you will be adding anything else besides the second card.  If you go with the A1 revision MoBo you will get a higher OC then with the LT.

If you want to be able to upgrade the machine in the future, you should go with the 750W PSU.

nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB is a waste of money playing at that resolution. the 320MB is fine.

Not sure now much you can OC the Duo processors to on that board, but the quads will OC from 2.4 to 2.7-2.8,a nd with the A1 baord they can get up to 3.15. I would consider getting the Q6600 quad processor instead of the duo as well... The duos are great but when more games start supporting quads, they will be superior.

here is a link so you can see the CPU comparison charts:

Core 2 Quad Q6600 OC @ 2.7Ghz
2GB DDR2 Corsair 800Mhz XMS2
GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB
nVidia 680i LT
Stage 3 w/ TwisterBoost
EXTREME DS case

Phreak, I like your system specs. an increase of .400Gzh OC on the Q6600 is not bad on the LT. Thats a 15% OC, I'm not sure spending $88 for the A1 to get another 15% would be worth it ( thats my wallet talking not my ego). But I guess I'll dig a little deeper and go Quad-core, and stick with the 320MB card. I just wish they would offer an eVGA 320MB KO ACS3.

We only have 8800GTX 768MB KO ACS3, also I did not see that any ACS3 with 320MB Video card. Also, you can get any other case, because the Twister PRO just out of stock today.

We should be able to overclock the E6750 with an LT motherboard to 2.8-2.9GHz+

It will be great for future games, as long as you don't try to max every little visual setting.
