I want a computer that can handle all the games such as Fallout 3, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and ports from Xbox 360/PS3 with ease (highest or near highest settings). At the same time I want it to be below $3,000 with good upgrade room. Thoughts?

Looks very solid to me.

You might want to consider dropping the monitor/keyboard and picking up your own at newegg or something. DSO doesn't have the greatest selection.

The stage three cooling should help you to get a better overclock and keep things cooler. I would keep it, but its not an absolute requirement.

I am sure you will enjoy that rig!

The extra headroom you'll get when overclocking with the zalman hsf is worth the extra money unless your budget is being stressed. If Assassin's Creed is any indication of how 360 to PC ports will be, the demand on the processor will be great as well as that of the ram requirements. The configuration of the rig is great right now. As tom says, you may want a different set of accesories. Keyboard and mouse selection is a personal preference thing, and unless you can go see what that model monitor looks like, you can't really tell if you'll like it. Monitor stats mean nothing, because the measurements aren't standardised.
