I was wondering about the processor, motherboard, and graphics card. My real question is, if I were to get a QX9650 can I use the 680i and dual 8800GTX's? Or would I just have to use the QX8650?

The 680i does not support the QX9650. You must get the QX6850 for the 680i if you want SLI 8800GTX.

If you want the QX9650, you must get the Asus Maximus Formula. However this motherboard does not support SLI.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.
