Hello
As DST4ME & Justin.kerr already knows, I am currently building a computer with liquid cooling. I already got most of the parts at home. All that is missing is the Liquid cooling parts and the case, which I just ordered from Korea (got friends there) Here are the parts: ATI HD 5870 i7 920 EVGA X58 3x SLI Classified Corsair Dominator 1600 MHz 6Gb (3x2Gb) Zalman 1000W PSU Creative X-Fi Extreme Gamer sound card LG LED 24" FULL HD 2ms monitor (2million - 1 contrast) Corsair Obsidian 800D DVD / Harddisk - cheap. My question is: Let us say that I had 6 fans for the radiator, + 2 fans + 2 more fans. (= 10 fans , prob 120mm) - How do I connect all these fans on the PSU? - Is it important to spread the connection so not one cable has like all the fans on it? The reason I am asking is because I have never had this many fans before. However, I have a 1000W PSU, which can hold the most. I just need the confirmation that I am right about it. I do not want to buy new parts after they are wrecked by my stupid assembly of cables. :) Thank you |

it matters what kind of connections you fans have, a molex, a bigger 4 pin, or a smaller 3 pin. If they are Molex just daisy chain them together, if three pin, you will either need 3 to 4 pin adapters, or cut the wires and solder your own connectors. I don't know what fans you have, but most 120mm fans pull around 2-4 watts each.
