Ok so my connection has started doing this for the past 2-3 days now.
Every time my cell phone rings, I get HUGE lag spikes, my ping jumps from like 30s to 2000s or more. It drops me from whatever game i am playing online, it gets me really frustrated Sleepy

My router is a Netgear wireless G-router WGR614V9, but my computer is wired connected.

Any ideas why it does this?

-------Sorry if this doesn't belong here, looked through the others, and it seemed this might fit in this section---------

try taking the router out of the circuit and see if you have the same result.. That's weird though.  No way and I mean no way a cell phone should interfere with a wired machine.

I think he means try connecting your computer directly to the modem, so you are not using the router.

If it stop doing it, then you know its the router.
