I noticed that DS has under configuration the H20: Stage 2: Digital Storm Vortex 120mm Radiator Liquid CPU Cooler (High-Performance Edition). Does anyone know if that is the Corsair H60 (1 fan) or the Corsair H80 (two fans in push/pull). It doesn't give any information. I assume it's the H60.
Can you confirm? |

The description is double thick radiator which means the H80 with double fans in push/pull. Can't say it has the 3 speed fan control button. That does change I believe depending on supply. Alex can confirm this or correct me if he sees this.

Ok. It does mention the H80 in the description but I was almost thinking it looked like the H60 since it didn't have the speed control on the cooler.

They use the H80 and H100 with speed control unless supply runs out then they use a similar unit but minus speed button from what Alex has said I believe. I think in your build you did get the H100 eventhough the pic showed no speed button.
Still deciding on a different cooler? Hows the H100 working out? Still too much noise or blowing out the top? |

The H100 is ok but I would prefer to close up the case. Mine came with Corsair H100 with the control (it says Corsair on the unit). I'm deciding between the H60 and H80 if I make the change. I'm almost thinking the H60 would be enough for me but cooler options are new to me. The H80 is good but from what I've read the noise might be higher than the H60.

Testing I've seen by Anantech shows the H80 on High noisier but on Medium it has about the same dba , maybe a point or two higher., with better temps. On Low its quieter. For what its worth, I wouldn't go lower than H80. But a tough call for sure.

Yeah...I just wish there was a clear winner but yes it's very close. I'm going back and forth.

The Vortex 120mm and Vortex 240mm are two fan radiators.
