I tried to do some searching on the forum but could not find the answer.

Is the TEC Sub-Zero LCS different from all the other Sub-Zero LCSs?

For instance could I get a special ops system with the TEC cooler or is the Sub-Zero LCS different?

thanks!

No that are not the same, the TEC is DS specialized cooling for the x58 chips only, it uses multiple rads to achieve extremely low cooling temps, so low they had to design a foam around the cpu block to stop condensation. I believe its only available to the hailstorm case also, because it was designed around it and has the room to do so.

Stage 3 cooling is a 120mm rad, and stage 4 cooling uses a 240mm rad. I also believe the stage 3 doesn't use the same liquid reservoir as stage 4, with stage 4 I got a 240mm rad, swiftech cpu block and a xspc dual bay reservoir with pump.

That's correct. If it does not say Liquid Chilled, and you did not pick it from the configuration that says TEC, then it is not our special cooling system that makes the CPU go to extremely cold temps (below 0'c).

I recently ordered a hailstorm cased SB build and Divine was correct DS only offers Frost Chill on the X58 I7 9xx series chips and is unable to mod them to the SB processors. I was very dissapointed, but the Stage 6 LCS should be enough for me. It still confuses me why they offer Frost Chill on the drop down menus for SB builds, but their Sales department confirmed FC was not compatable with SB.

If they do end up offering the FC LCS for SB I would love to upgrade.
