With specs like this, are fans fine or should i get cooling? ALso how does this vid card compare to 2x Geforce GTX 260's 896mb? Would the dual cards really increase performance, or is the card I already have a monster and   it wont make much difference?

The cooling is great the way you've configured it. If you wanna do some aggressive overclocking on your own later, liquid cooling can give you best results, but the V-8 is an excellent performing air cooler that many are using while overclocking.

If you went with the 295 card it is slightly better than 2 260's.

give me your ticket number, budget and what resolution you gonna be gaming at.

your resolution will decide what card/s you should go with and a 260+ sli will kill a single 280. but what you need depends on your resolution
