does anyone know how to create a sub-zero liquid cooling system? I know that you can get it from digital storm if you buy from them but I have a computer that I'm looking to upgrade not replace.

Are you referring to our liquid chilled system? If it's that, you really can't replicate it, as the water block, control module, etc are all things we designed in-house and optimized for our systems.
If it's the liquid cooling system, you can purchase the Swiftech and Danger Den parts online. |

If you are talking about the tec, then you can get something like it, but it won't be DS's tec.
if you are talking about the regular lc system then its just multiple parts, we can help you get the parts for a great LC system easy that will perform same/better and more quiet. |

I was looking at a 3x120mm 30 fpi radiator with 6 110 CFM in a push pull and the Swiftech APOGEE-XT water-block with the RP-980BK reservoir for ease of use. I would also put 1/2" ID tubing for good flow. I saw reviews saying that it performs over 30°C better than the stock intel heat-sink but that's nothing compared to the digital storm system. Is there any components to get closer to those temps than. Maybe under 40°C under Prime 95 when over-clocked? Maybe to 4.5 Ghz or less to get to my desired temps.

ok the xt is the block we recommend, reservior is really a choice, 1/2 tubbing is a good choice.
what brand of rad are you looking at? this is were it gets important, the brand and type of rad and what kind of fans they work best with is very important. 110 cfm fans ha? I would run the other way, I can imagine how loud a 120mm fan with 110 cfm would be, like a jet, and then six of them, would be like, well I guess a very air base at the air force. for rads actually you want the xspc rx series with 1400rpm Scythe gentle typhoon fans, this will give you great performance quietly. don't use high cfm fans on this rad, it will actually bring your performance down. 40c for load temps? you gonna need something better then a lc system, or a room temp of 50f, or 4 x 360mm xspc rx rads with push/pull on them and a good room temp. Awesome, so what temps do you think I could get out of this with those components you suggested at about 65°f in a 800d. I had been looking at the HX-CU1020V radiator from koolance. Would it work better for temps if I also had a 2x120 rad with that 3x120 you suggested? Those 11 cfm fans were the SY1225SL12SH and are rated at 37 dBA.

Well there is no way you are getting 110 cfm with 37 dba, I can assure you of that, ether the dba is bs or the cfm is bs, most likely little of both.
Scythe is a good company, but those numbers don't add up. koolance rad can't hold a canble to the xspc rx series rads. We don't even recommend any part from koolance when it comes to the major parts. best rads on the market are pretty much ThermoChill, hardware lab blackice gtx series, feser, xspc rx series, all are low cfm rads with the exception of he hw blackice gtx, that one works best with high cfm fans. room temp of 65f will make just about any setup have great load temps, so you should not need anything crazy, also as long as load temps are below 80c you are good to go, there is no need for 40c load temps. |
