Thinking about getting a new gaming keyboard.
Require mechanical Cherry Brown switches. RGB that can, preferably, be controlled without having to download software while using the keyboard, i.e., don't want the RGB software using system resources while gaming. Been looking at the Corsair & Cooler Master lines. Any experiences and recommendations with either of these brands, or, others? |

Corsair K95 or K70 mech RGB keyboards come with Cherry Brown switches. Quality is solid... I think your concern about RGB software control taking up system resources is not a big issue running in background. It’s there to launch if you decide to change the look, or run program or firmware updates. Corsair uses iCUE software to control the RGB lights on compatible Corsair RGB fans and USB peripherals all in one place. Have K95 keyboards in use by the sons DS Lumos and the wife’s DS Ode. Excellent easy to use software and long lasting solid built keyboards. |

Yes, I am liking the K70, RGB MK.2.
For some reason the price is still up around $143 with Cherry Brown switches, yet the K95 Platinum (Cherry Brown switches) is down at $109. I'll monitor the prices for awhile and wait for a drop. |

K95 includes a lot of extra macro switches most folks really don't need...K70 MK2 is a good choice.

Yep, agree completely, don't need the macros, plus it makes the keyboard a little wider. Maybe that is why they are discounting the K95 - slow sales?
