I'm still new to Corsair link, curious to your thoughts on the temps after playing BF3 for about 20 minutes, especially temps on my 2 x GTX 670?
I think the Drive Temps are wrong obviously, I assume it's a glitch since the temps never move up or down. |

i like keeping my gpu's at around 70c during load.. granted ATM im using amd 6970s in xfire and they are rated for 80c. but from what i know cpu's should not go over 65-70c. i keep mine under load at 63. Cant wait for new rig. noctua will rock... and got 2 680 4gb classifieds gonna kill.

Those temps for the 670s are fine. I would like to see the second card a bit lower but its still well within the safe range.
There has been some questions on Corsair Link accuracy so I would run HWMonitor and EVGA Precision, etc and compare the results. You're good to go. |

thanks - i keep reading how others are getting temps on their cards under 60c etc... how do they do that or unless like you said, corsair link may not be that accurate? |

This makes me think of the Fermi days, when we would have thought 76 was a bad@$$ load temp
But yes, your temps are fine for load on air. |

You can drive yourself nuts trying to compare and match everyone else's temps. So many variables, like each chip's own characteristic where 70c on one and 76 on an identical setup is fairly common. Ambient temps, with one room on ac and the other not can be the difference. Some will manually set a fan profile to keep the cards a few degrees cooler but the tradeoff is more noise.
I typically see low to mid 70s for the reference 670s. Yep, you are fine for sure.

lol yea.. but keep in mind the 680 classified 4gb cards have a better heat sink and fan than the reference. HOWEVER he will be fine. The cards are rated to run up to 88c or something like that.

i wondered why the botton card is always hotter than the top one since hot air rises? more trapped air i guess?

Usually the card with the monitors plugged into it are the hottest, but not a given..

You're temps are perfectly fine. I do wish to mention that, a few degrees here and there are not going to make your system run any faster or cooler. As long as temps don't go above 90'C you're in the clear.
Enjoy the system. No need to worry. |

the two monitors are actually plugged into the Top card with the lower temps - weird. also forgot to ask, why does my 3 drives even give a temp readout? Is it a glitch with the funky temps? Edited by armoredsaint - 25 Apr 2013 at 7:29pm |

Most drives have temp sensors built in, the same as cpu, gpu, etc and the Corsair Link can read it the same as HWMonitor type and other software utilities can. Corsair Link also has a seperate module that directly connects by cables to various components that are designed for it.
