is the Corsair Hydro H50 CPU Liquid Cooler any good? it looks very similar to DS's Asetek LCLC Processor Liquid Cooling System.
it never has to be filled with a coolant since everything is sealed .. it has 50000 hour-life, BUT what happens if it's close to replacing it with a new one? HOW will i know when it's almost dead when there's no warning beep .. i DON'T want to play Crysis in my oc'd pc and all of a sudden my cpu gets melted. should i just replace it every 6 months? thanks !! |

First off, 50000 hours is more than 5 years, close to 6 I believe.
Second, from what I've heard, some air coolers like the Noctua are actually better than the Asetek and those like it. |

yes, i'm aware of the years, but liquid cooling is more vulnerable than air cooling. hence, the replacement question.
i'm beginning to think air cooling is becoming too large in size. |

they have not been around enough to see if they do actually last 50000 hours.
corsair's is a bit better but I would go Noctua NH-U12P or frostchill/zubzero, asetek is a waste of your time. |

lol, and they're getting bigger once you stick more fans on.
I don't really care on the reviews of asetek, saw a few of them being checked to be installed, while i was installing other things in pc's
and I honestly thought they were some non name brands, look so cheap.
Noctua is good, but TRUE 120 EE is good as well.
I only liked Noctua cause it comes with one of the best cpu heatsink fans, Great static preasure at low dBA

I have an asetek and my temps are fine. These things aren't having some sort of high failure rate are they?
