Hi there I'm new to PC, so I just recently bout a GeForce GTX 1070 G1, but I already have a MSI VGA Graphic Cards RX 580 Armor 8G OC. Now, my motherboard has a total of three GPU slots, Could I run the two GPU's in the same gaming rig?

Hi,

Check your motherboard manual and it will tell you which slots to use for gpus and yes you can run multiple gpus BUT they have to be the same. To be used by the system they (the gpus) have to joined by a bridge (sli or  Nvlink, depending on the cards). You have two, not only different models but also different technology. One is AMD (the RX), the other Nvidia (GTX). Take out the RX and use the GTX. It will give you better results.

Like hose said, you have to use identical cards to bridge them together to work together.

You can install both and use both, but independent of each other for different tasks. I’m pretty sure that’s not what you want, but just mentioned it in case.
