My pc got delilvered Monday and It has been great!
The case I got was the HAF 922. I had a couple questions about the fans.
The first is can the speed be adjusted (higher or lower) without changing or harming the set up (had it overclocked and dont want it to overheat). I dont mind the fan noise that much even though it is louder than expected I can live with it.
The second question is on top of the HAF 922 case there is a "Fan Led" button next to the power button. I assume when I push that it should shut off the led's but it doesnt...is it supposed to?
My build below

unfortunately most everything that can be loud in a config, you chose.
the case fans, cpu cooler, and video card overclock will all increase noise
to lower the case fans, you would need a fan controller
to lower the GPU fan, you would need to lower the overclock
to lower the CPU cooler sound, you would need to either replace the stock fan on it or the cooler entirely
if noise gets considerably higher when you play games, its your gpu fan

Ya I figured as much about the fans, I expected it for the most part as well it was brought up more by the wife when I was on it when she said "boy thats kinda loud" lol.
Same thing with the LED button when she pushed it then asked what it does when the lites didnt go out.....

Led should go out, most of your noise should come from teh gpu, if DS oced your gpu, it was minor oc and you won't notice it anyways, drop the oc on the gpu and set the fan to automatic, this way it will only go high if temps go high.
try this and see if that takes care of most of the noise, as for the led light not going out, call DS. |
