How do I check my processor clock rate on windows 7 Pro? I had the system build with stage 2 overclocking ($199.00  4GHz or higher overclock) and I don't believe it is that fast. My windows 7 performance numbers are 7.9 for graphics which is as hight as it goes, but the processor calulations per seconds number is only 7.4 ,I think this should be a lot higher with a 4 GHz overclock...Any information would be greatly appreciated....

This is my CPU speed as translated by FurMark 1.7.0. Checkout the rez 1920x1200 and the MSAA 16x. Why is my CPU speed so low?

Furmark may not be stressing your process 100%.

Load up Prime95 and run the torture test with small FFTs and use a program like CPU-Z to see what it reports the processor running at.

The problem with CPU-Z is that I don't know how it works. I ran the program, here is a screen shot of what I get.

ya based on your multiplier and bus you are at 3.3GHz, better call DS, so they can fix it.

Can this be done using remote assistance? Letting them take control of my computer and making the needed adjustments? I would prefer this over sending the system back to them. However I am willing to do that if need be. I did not pay all that money for a tricked out cooling system for nothing, the only reason I did was to overclock of course. I guess Alex will see this and respond.

don't worry they will set you right and at 4.0GHz one way or another.

you can't do it via remote, you need to do it via phone, or the other option is to send it in.

To get it properly reset to 4.0 its best to be in the BIOS which is why you should give them a call tomorrow.

My reply to your other similiar post (please try to keep it in one only):

To be honest, if your system lost it's overclock, it's very easy to re-gain it.

If it is not saved as a profile in the BIOS, we have your BIOS settings saved and also emailed to you when your system pases Stage 7. Also, in addition, we have a database of overclock settings on hundreds of similar systems with your configuration that we can use which have been tested to be stable and fast.

Contact us on Monday and we will be more than happy to walk you through the process.

Here is what came with my stage 7 e-mail.

Overclocked Processor Settings

Processor Speed GHz: 4.0
CPU Multiplier: 24
Voltage CPU VCore: 1.381
VDroop Control: Yes
i7 - BCLK MHz: 161
i7 - Voltage QPI\DRAM: auto
i7 - Voltage QPI\PLL: auto
i7 - Voltage CPU VTT: 200
i7 - Voltage IOH Vcore: auto
i7 - Voltage ICH Vcore: auto
i7 - Voltage IOH/ICH I/O: auto
i7 - PWM Frequency: auto
780i/790i - Memory Clock Mode:
780i/790i - CPU FSB MHz:
780i/790i - Voltage FSB:
780i/790i - Voltage SPP:
780i/790i - Voltage MCP:
I guess this is what needs to be restored in my system bios. If this is what I need then it should not take long for a DS Tech to lead me through the process, that would be awsome. I will call DS on Monday and get this done. Thanks everyone for the help.

Here is where I am at after talking to a DS tech. As you can see selecting system in the control panel gives me one speed and Prime95 with CPU-Z gives me another. Which is correct??

Well that was easy enough to do. I have tried to right click computer but all I get is the same system window with the same stock speeds. I think CPU-Z is right and I now have my 4 GHZ clock speed back. Once again DS is proving to me that they blow the competition away. I sure am glad I chose Digital Storm to build my dream computer, Thanks everyone at Digital Storm.
