In a different way though lol.
http://www.techpowerup.com/71394/Creative_to_Unravel_a_New_X-Fi_Product.html Setting aside the whole driver thing from Creative....Asus and Auzentech have rights?! Pretty sweet. Still I wonder how the driver situation is coming along? Is Alchemy good and running already? Or Xonar D2X is still a better choice due to it's more superior EAX 5.0 emulation? However you look at it, actual products from Asus will have 5.0 possibly? I dunno. The more stuff like this come up, the more worried I am about what sound card to choose ahah, even if Xonar D2X and possibly Asus from now on being a proper choice. |

General lack of interest on creatives part in fixing the sound issues plagueing certain sound card, im staying away from them as far away as i can.
When in doubt, go with Razer.
"In a different way..." indeed.

Asus has xfi on their "riser card" audio sets for their high end mobos... particularly the ROG boards. They don't have EAX 5.0 rights... they use an EAX 3.0 workaround that tells the game it's EAX 5.0
EAX 3.0 is public domain due to time limitations. (or sumtin like that) |
