A few months ago, Amazon.com had a nice discount for a full version of PS cs5.1, with the understanding that it would allow an upgrade to PS cs6. Except that I have no need to upgrade as 5.1 is good enough -- especially since I bought Lightroom 4 a few weeks ago. Together, they make an unbeatable pair.

they now offer a subscription service to the whole cs6 suite rather than having to buy specific bundles. might be a nice service for some.

I upgraded to CS3 on my Mac years ago because there would not be an upgrade to CS4 from what I was using at the time: PS 7. I got that waaaaaaaay back in 2002, and it was sufficient for many years.
Let's face it. $150 or so versus $700. Pick your upgrade price. |
