Just bought this build and was wondering if anyone knows how well it should handle games like Rome 2 and latest BF4 shooter. This is the first custom computer I have ever bought and am excited to see how it games.
Let me know your thoughts and if you know what I should upgrade if necessary. Hi Kiwihungary... You put together an excellent build. Quality parts and performance.
You didn't mention the monitor being used, but if it's a 1920x1080 then your rig will play great. BF4 will have no problems. A couple of changes I would suggest.... if your thinking of sli, 2x 780ti your psu is a good pick. If no sli in the future then save some money and get the Corsair 850w psu. Plenty for a single card. Select stage 1 overclock under cpu boost. Your Noctua D14 is made for overclocking. It does give an inexpensive boost in performance as overclocking effects all 4 cores. Turbo only applies to a single core at its max clock. Looks real nice and good luck. Stay in touch. Edited by bprat22 - 27 Mar 2014 at 3:58pm |

I have a 27" 1080 monitor and will get a second one to do multi monitor gaming. I am planning on doing 2x 780ti in the future but the budget can't handle a second one right now. Good idea on the overclocking, I was going to do it but was worried about the extra heat but if the fan can handle it then I'll do it for sure. Bad news is the case is not available so I have chosen the ODE case and am told it will be sufficient for future upgrade and current build.

The ODE case is still an excellent air-cooled case. It's just that its more of mid-tower and not a full tower (which might be better in certain situations). I know there are many who have chosen this case and it has worked well for them...

If you go with the ODE 600t case then ask DS to send the free side mesh grill. Your left side panel has a nice window and the mesh grill can be used in its pace to mount up to four 120mm fans if ever needed.
Looks great. |

I would suggest you change the SSD to the Samsung 840 Pro, since it has better performance and warranty.
