Hello, First time here. I am a dad with zero experience at this. I am looking to buy a good gaming system that can also be used for school work. Can someone please review config 2567779 and let me know if there are any shortcomings or problems with this build. I know my son has battlefield 5 but has trouble running it on his current system. I am a rookie so please be gentle. Thank you

Welcome to the forum Old dude!

I think you did very well in putting this together as a first timer! Excellent choice of CPU, GPU, motherboard, PSU and storage.   BTW this particular DS case offers a few case paint color options, which is unusual.   You have a very lucky son who will be slaying all competition using this very strong NVidia RTX 2080 Super gaming rig...and strong gaming rigs make excellent work & school performers as well!

A few tweaks I would suggest here to polish this build...

1) Switch to better quality Corsair Vengeance or Dominator RAM - longer mfg warranty.   DS parts only carry the 1 yr system warranty, unless you increase the coverage.

2) Switch to the better Corsair H115i Pro 280 mm CPU cooler...Longer mfg warranty than DS unit.   You could do a Stage 2 Overclock on the CPU with this Corsair unit and max out CPU performance.

3) Switch M.2 NVME drive to the better performing 500GB Samsung 970 EVO PLUS) (NVM Express)...new 970 Evo Plus model reads and writes faster than the older 970 Pro model.

4) Consider a fan upgrade to the better Corsair LL Series RGB LED fans or the best Corsair ML Series RGB LED fans.   The LL fans have two addressable light rings and are uber popular for the endless RGB lighting designs possible.... The best ML fan bearings use Magnetic Levitation for longer life, but the RGB lights are for more plain with only 4 RGB LED on the just outer ring. Either fan upgrade will come with a Corsair Lighting Node Pro control board to sync the LED RGB effects from all Corsair RGB components on the rig, and you would download Corsair iCue software to control and design lighting effects.

5) We don't usually suggest Overclocking the GPU unless it is also water cooled with the HydroLux Pro (CPU + GPU)....as on air cooling not much gain for the extra GPU heat & stress.

See what you think....

Thank you for your advise. I do have one quick question. If I upgrade the fans, does the price upgrade all he case fans or is the cost per fan. I believe the color has 11 fans if I read the description right.Thank you

The LL or ML fan upgrade covers all the case fans used for your build and one Corsair Lighting Node Pro board.      How many fans will be used can vary depending on which cooler you get and size of fan...so you could ask DS about how many and where they will mount the radiator.
