What should I do, go with a single 9800GTX2 or dual 8800GTS?
Just wanted some opinions. I won't be getting my system for another month- month and half so I assume any driver issues would be solved by then. Plus if you look at my system specs I'm not really replacing anything. I was looking at the benchmarks for the 9800GTX2 and they do better than two GTS's in SLI and each solution would cost about the same as well.

Also, it does really suck being a poor nerd lol :)
Pentium 2
128MB of RAM
No GPU
and a 30GB HD

And you wondered why I registered lol (those specs are not a joke)

8800GTS SLI definitely.

8800 GTS x2 = ~$500
9800 GX2 = $600

8800GTS SLI can be overclocked easily and won't run into heat issues.

And I don't know what benchmarks you've seen but out of the 10 I've seen, the 8800GTS SLI beats the 9800GX2 because the 9800GX2 is clocked lower and probably have poor drivers.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

The 8800GTS 512MB cards can now be over clocked. They did release a BIOS package for them that we can use to OC the cards about a week ago.
