I will post when this monitor goes on sale here, so if you want to be notified, either subscribe to this thread or check it everyday.

anybody else sees this monitor on sale please post here about it, so we can all know about it, thank you.

Right now its not on sale but a few people are looking for it on sale, so I'm gonna refer them to this thread, right now regular price is $319.

i'd so buy that if i had the money. love the tech specs. they actually tell u which one is being used with the response time ect not just the lowest/highest one.

at the very top of this thread is "topic options" click that and choose "watch this topic" once you do that, you will get an email, everytime there is a reply to this topic.

keep in mind the discounts are time sensitive, so you need watch your email closely.

I don't buy stuff like that from ebay, I'm not sure if dell will honor the warranty if you bought from ebay.

I did some research and came up with this:
 
Because electronics.liquidation purchased the monitor directly from Dell, there is still a 3 year warranty. You just need to know the serial number and the order number when purchased from Dell. The order number will be on the original mailing label and the serial number will be on the monitor and the box.
 
Still, this kinda sounds like a hassle. I think I'd rather just buy it directly from Dell. Probably less chance of something being wrong with the monitor as well, like a stuck pixle or something.

Unless Dell told you that or Dell recognizes "electronics.liquidation" as a dealer, Dell will not honor the warranty.

To be sure just call customer Dell customer svc and double check with them, if they say that they will honor it, have them email it to you so that you have it in writing from them, I can't tell you how manytimes I have been told, "its not listed here in the notes in teh computer that you discussed that with the person you spoke to".

Here's a pretty good review of the monitor. It's certainly better than what you'd get on Amazon, Bing, etc. I need to start saving my money.

tft is good but I don't find all their reviews to be correct.

but anyways keeping this thread for when the monitor goes on sale, otherwise people who describe to this thread will get a notification now for now reason, so please keep your posts limited to info about the monitor being on sale at dell or a dell accepted dealer.

I can't believe it, I just literally bought a U2311h this morning (couldn't wait for the sale :/)

FYI, if you're going to buy anything over 300, use this deal. They give you $50 for free.

For me, the u2311h ended up being $354 with tax and everything. I ended up paying $304.

So,I'm new here. I'm actually waiting for my new DS system at arrive. I actually just picked up a Samsung PX2370. It seems like a pretty good monitor, but everyone seems to love the Dell UltraSharp U2311H. Should I return the Samsung and get the Dell?

the dell ultrasharp is ips technology. which is a better and more expensive technology than other monitors use. it has better clarity.

That's not to say Dell is the only one offering IPS tech. But there is no question IPS panels are brighter, clearer and more colorful than the other kind which are TN panels. A 23" IPS panel for $250.00 is a steal. Buy it if you want 1920X1080.

HP sells a 24" 1920X1200 for around $400 that is every bit as good as Dell's 24", so, ~$80 less. It's what I'm looking at right now, and it's magnificent. No BS. The model is ZR24w. The sweet spot here is decidedly the Dell 23", though.

the HP lacks behind in color depth and connectivity I think. But its a good monitor aside from that no doubt.

I just picked one of these up tonight....online order was a pain so I just called it in. Other then tyring to be bamboozeled into buying an alienware, a samsung t.v., and sign up for a credit card it was painless! LOL With Tax it came out to 268, not a bad deal as far as I am concerned.
